I thought staycations weren't a thing anymore. But when my adult sons and their families camped in our backyard, we had so much fun that we decided to make it an annual tradition. The experience brought us closer together and reminded us of the simple joys of family time.
Setting up tents and gathering around a fire pit, we shared stories and laughter under the stars. The kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s'mores, while the adults reminisced about their childhood adventures. Each day was filled with activities, from backyard games to cooking meals together, creating a sense of togetherness that often gets lost in our busy lives.
As we wrapped up our staycation, we realized that it wasn't just about the activities but the bond we strengthened as a family. This delightful experience has inspired us to plan more staycations in the future, proving that sometimes the best vacations are the ones spent close to home with loved ones.
