Celebrity hairstylist Kahh Spence has officially crossed a major business milestone. His hair care brand, which started as a side project during the pandemic, has now surpassed five hundred thousand dollars in total sales. Spence, known for styling some of the biggest names in entertainment, credits part of that success to two very specific supporters: Kelly Rowland and Tina Knowles.
Spence first met Rowland years ago while working backstage at award shows. Their friendship grew over time, and when he launched his product line, Rowland was one of the first people to test the formulas. She posted about the brand on her social media without being asked, and the response was immediate. Orders spiked within hours. Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mother and a style icon in her own right, also gave the products a shoutout during a live stream. That moment pushed the brand into a whole new customer base.
But Spence is quick to point out that the celebrity support only opened the door. The real work, he says, came from building a product that actually performs. His line focuses on scalp health and moisture retention, two issues he saw constantly in his chair. He spent months working with a chemist to get the formulas right before selling a single bottle.
Now the brand is stocked in several boutique retailers and has a loyal repeat customer base. Spence says he is already planning his next product launch and hopes to hit one million in sales by next year. He also wants to mentor other Black entrepreneurs looking to break into the beauty industry. For him, this milestone is not just about the money. It is proof that a niche idea, built with patience and the right people behind you, can grow into something real.
