A fast-moving fire tore through a Valley Street building on Easter Sunday, damaging multiple businesses and apartments while sending three people to the hospital with minor injuries. The two residents and one firefighter are all expected to recover.
The fire is reported to have originated inside a local barbershop before spreading to adjacent units and the apartments located above the commercial spaces. The intense flames and smoke prompted a significant emergency response, with multiple fire departments called to the scene to assist in battling the blaze.
The fire caused extensive damage to the structure, impacting the livelihoods of business owners and displacing residents from their homes. The community has begun to rally around those affected, though the full extent of the loss is still being assessed.
Authorities have not yet released an official cause for the fire, and an investigation by fire marshals is currently underway to determine what sparked the destructive Easter incident.
