After years of building a successful career in the tech industry, I made the life-changing decision to leave it all behind and move to Portugal. While my time in Big Tech provided numerous opportunities and financial stability for my family, I realized that the relentless pace and demands of the industry were taking a toll on my well-being.
In search of a better work-life balance, I decided to embrace a new lifestyle that prioritizes personal fulfillment and family time. Relocating to Portugal has allowed me to immerse myself in a vibrant culture, enjoy breathtaking landscapes, and foster deeper connections with my loved ones.
The slower pace of life here has been refreshing, offering me the chance to explore new interests and hobbies. I have found joy in simple pleasures, from leisurely walks on the beach to enjoying local cuisine with friends. This decision, while daunting, has proven to be the right one as I focus on nurturing both my mental health and my family bonds.
